Carter Ray Burrell, 4 months, of Cedar Rapids, died July 8, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Carter leaves behind his mother and father, Kimberly Salyars and Noah Burrell of Cedar Rapids; maternal grandparents, Julie and William Salyars of Cedar Rapids and Darlene and Frank McNally of Tennessee; paternal grandparents, Valerie Buchanan and fiance Rick Dietz of Belle Plaine, Brian and Nancy Burrell of Wisconsin and Judy and Leo Kesl of Belle Plaine; paternal great-grandparents, Carol and Robert Burrell of Victor; and his aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bill Salyars; and an aunt, Angela Salyars.
Carter was a very happy baby who shared a lot of smiles with everyone. He loved his "binky" and his dog, Baby.
