CARROLL EUGENE "SLIM" GUNDERSON

Carrroll Eugene "Slim" Gunderson, 81, of Marengo, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016, at his home. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Private family services will be at a later date.
Carroll is survived by his daughter, Andrea Frederickson and husband Joe of Solon; and a grandson, Blake Frederickson and wife Erin, also of Solon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dolores Wilson Gunderson, in 1996.
Carroll Eugene Gunderson was born Feb. 26, 1934, in Marengo, Iowa, the son of Knute and Grace Dale Gunderson. He graduated from Marengo High School in 1952, and married Dolores Wilson on Dec. 7, 1952, at the Methodist Church in Marengo. Slim loved his chosen profession as a farmer. He adored his grandson, and cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. He was a member of Farm Bureau.
