Carr, Linda Jeanne (McCallum)
Linda Jeanne (McCallum) Carr, 64, of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully Feb. 12, 2012, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy after a courageous battle with cancer. Linda generously donated her body to the University of Iowa for research. Friends and family may celebrate her life at a memorial gathering held Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the Chrome Horse Saloon from 3 to 7 p.m.
Linda is survived by two daughters, Teri (Larry) Shellenberger and Tami Hamlin (Wes Daubert), both of Colorado; two brothers, David McCallum of Cedar Rapids and Douglas (Jean) McCallum of Dubuque; and one sister, Rebecca McCallum (Whiskers McDermott) of Cascade.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas and Sydney; great-grandsons, Devin and Joshua; and several nieces and one nephew.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Glatha McCallum.
She was born May 4, 1947, in Providence, R.I.
Linda enjoyed shooting pool, her pets, collecting elephants and spending time with her family.
She will be dearly missed.
