Carolyn G. Dewald, 95, of Cedar Rapids, passed away, Oct. 6, 2023. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Funeral service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include son, Jon (Kathy) Lodestein of Davenport; daughter, Cathy Lodestein of Pueblo, Colo.; three grandchildren, Brian, Sabrina and Nicole; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces, Debbie Grosskreutz and Diane Reutzel; and nephew, David Wilson.
09Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Glen, in 1998; twin brother, Francis “Red” Wilson; granddaughter, Trisha; and great-grandsons, Michael and Derick.
Carolyn was born on April 2, 1928, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Albert and Gladys Wilson. She married Glen Dewald June 23, 1966, in Marion.
Carolyn retired from Square D, Hall Home Furnishings and the Cedar Rapids Schools Food Service.
She was a member of the Elks Lodge and V.F.W. Post 788.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
