Cedar Rapids
Carolene Faye Booth, 93, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Friday at Central Assembly of God by Rev. Gary Pilcher. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 9 a.m., Friday at the church. Burial: Cain Cemetery in Cainsville, Missouri at 11 a.m., Saturday. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Carolene is survived by her daughters, Joyce (Mark) Thomas and Teresa Booth; grandchildren, Heather Thomas, and Ryan (Sara) Thomas; great-grandchildren, Gavin Thomas and Caden Thomas all of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Joanna Dougherty; nieces and nephew, JR Dougherty, Treanna Dougherty, and Serena Dougherty all of Springfield, MO; 2 great nephews and a great-niece; and 2 cousins Lavera Box and Berneta Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ramon Booth; a niece, Vanessa Dougherty and her parents.
Carolene was born on January 9, 1931 near Washington Center, Missouri, the daughter of Sherman and Vesta Willis Smith. She graduated from Martinsville, Missouri High School in 1949. On January 3, 1951, she married Rev. Ramon Booth in Richmond, Missouri.
Carolene was a member of Central Assembly of God and was involved in ministry as a Sunday school teacher and playing the piano. She was an excellent cook and was known for her homemade noodles. Carolene was a prayer warrior who loved Jesus and her family very much.
