Carol M. Seng, 62, of
Hiawatha, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at her home after a sudden illness. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids. The Rev. Craig Brown will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. There will be a visitation at Cedar Memorial Park
Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Survivors include two daughters, Amber Seng and Heather (Jason) Underwood, both of Cedar Rapids; her father, Carl Crane of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Sharon (Eric) Deitz of Davenport, Lisa (Dan) Ripley of Hiawatha and Nancy (Joe) Omundson of Bondurant; and a brother, Don (Barb) Crane of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Kayla, Gage and
Alexis.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Carol was born April 26, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Carl and Marjorie Underberg Crane.
Carol was a daycare
provider for many years.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed scrapbooking and crafts. Carol also enjoyed butterflies, angels, animals and especially the time spent with her grandchildren and beloved family.
She was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister and grandmother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
