Carol Ann Mobbs, 65, of Marion, died Friday, May 8, 2015. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 15, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hiawatha with Father Mark Ressler presiding. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. Visitation will also take place at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her sister, Marybeth (Gene) Culbertson of Hiawatha; nieces, Dr. Elizabeth (Scott) Bell of Mount Prospect, Ill., and Jennifer (Jim) Schulte of Cedar Rapids; great-nieces, Samantha Bell and Autumn Schulte; great-nephews, Anthony and Dylan Schulte and Thomas Bell; stepsister, Thelma Jo Farr of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; and special friends, John and Sharon McIntosh of Marion.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Mobbs and Lloyd Mobbs.
Known as "Annie" by her family, Carol was born on Dec. 5, 1949, to Lloyd and Mary (McGuire) Mobbs. She was a 1968 graduate of Marion High School. Carol was a lifelong resident of Marion. She was employed by Ray Kohl Realty, Wagner's Printers, Cedarapids Inc. (Iowa Manufacturing) and Collins Community Credit Union.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Marion Fire Department.
