Carol Kay Farar, 66, of Cedar Rapids, died on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022. Services: 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where a visitation will start at 11 a.m. until service time. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral

She was born Oct. 24, 1955, in Iowa City, the daughter of Earl and Doris (Ford) Hoffman. She married Larry Farar on Valentine's Day in 1995. They have five children: Kerry (Diane) Staggs, Toby (Kristy) Staggs, Jennifer (Jeff) Yenter, Johnny (Melissa) Farar and Jeremy Farar; and 10 grandchildren. Carol was employed at Quaker Oats for almost 25 years. She loved her husband and children most in the world. Carol was animal lover. She enjoyed a good day fishing, listening to the oldies, baking, spending time with her grandchildren and daily time with God in her "Yo God Prayers."
