Carol Elaine Walker, 89, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, October 8, 2021, at her home. No services will be held at her wishes. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids assisted the family.
Carol was born Oct. 9, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Stuart and Erma (Janda) Ford. She graduated from Roosevelt High School. Carol married Orville "Ozzie" Walker on June 9, 1951, in Cedar Rapids. Ozzie passed away in 2014. She worked in administrative support for Globe Machinery, Salem United Methodist Church and Jefferson High School. Carol was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
Carol loved tending to her flowers and plants. She enjoyed collecting miniatures and she adored cats. Her greatest love of all was her family and the time she spent with them.
Survivors include her children, Scott Walker and Corey Walker, both of St. Louis, Mo., and Kris (Jeff) King of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Colby, Justin (Melanie) Walker, Jamie (Clint) Bethmann, Nicole Walker, Sam Walker, Stephanie (Joe) Jacobs and Taylor (Matt) King; great-grandchildren, Emma Colby, Tucker, Bryar, and Jonas Jacobs, Ian and Drew Walker and Scottie Marie Bethmann; and daughter-in-law, Sandy Walker.
She will be greeted in heaven by her husband, Orville Walker; parents, Stuart and Erma Ford; son, Gary Walker; brother, Les Ford; and daughter-in-law, Janet Bales Walker.
