Carol Colene Visek passed away on August 5, 2025, in Riverside, CA. Carol was a native of Cedar Rapids, born on June 3,1939 to Milo and Colene (Morrow) Visek. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1957 and worked briefly at United Fire and Casualty of Cedar Rapids. Not long after she set off to southern California where she worked as an accountant for Rockwell International in Downey, CA for 32 years.
She had a loving, caring and friendly heart that her childhood friends knew well as she always made a priority to catch up with them on her yearly visits back to Iowa. She enjoyed traveling, cruises and spending time sharing stories of her childhood growing up in Czech Village. Carol was a devoted sister and aunt always putting family first.
Carol is survived by her two older brothers, Milo C. and Danny Visek both of Cedar Rapids, along with seven nephews and a niece. Of her “California” family, she is survived by Marc and Marcie Rohrich and her loving cat, Zoey.
She is preceded in death by her parents Milo and Colene Visek; sisters-in-law, Patricia Visek and Liang Visek; and nephew Michael Visek.
Please join the family for a Celebration of Life on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM located at 611 Blue Heron Ct. NE, Cedar Rapids.
In honor of Carol’s wishes there will be no funeral services. Private interment will be held at Cedar Memorial.
