Carol Ann Manos, 68, of Cedar Rapids, died of a sudden illness at her home on Wednesday, May 24, 20017.
Graveside services will be held at the Palo Cemetery on Wednesday, May 31, at 11 a.m. Pastor Dave Neas will perform the services. Teahen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Brenda Manos (Scott) and Krista Downs (Jeff), both of Cedar Rapids; her brother, David Barker of Canada; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom; her parents; and her brothers, Richard and Terry Barker.
Carol was born in November of 1948 to parents Thomas and Mary Ann (Boyer) Barker in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She married the love of her life, Thomas Edward Manos, in Cedar Rapids. In her professional life, she worked for Wendy's for 20 years. When she wasn't spending time with her family, Carol could be found doing crossword puzzles or reading the latest Stephen King novel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to the family to be distributed later.
