Carol Ann Cooper, 87, died peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at The Bird House Hospice Home.
Family committal services are planned with burial at Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Carol was born September 2,1938 in Iowa City, the daughter of Lawrence and Irene (Wenger) Cole. She was a 1956 graduate of City High School. On July 3, 1957 Carol married James “Jim” Cooper in Iowa City. They celebrated 67 years of marriage this past year.
Carol is survived by her husband, Jim and their sons, Jeffrey Cooper of Montgomery Creek, CA, Michael (Debra) Cooper of West Branch, and Andrew (Diane) Cooper of Liberty Hill, TX; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; her brother, Jim (Sharon) Cole of Wisconsin and her sister, Susan (Warren) Birley of Iowa City.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and their son, Terry.
