Carnahan, Theresa Schmidt
Theresa Schmidt Carnahan, 74, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, in her home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, St. Michael's Catholic Church, Norway, with the Rev. Craig Steimel officiating. Visitation: one hour before services Saturday at the parish center. Burial: St. Michael's Cemetery.
Theresa was born Sept. 10, 1939, in Norway, the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Davin) Schmidt. She worked in the insurance industry in Colorado and Connecticut before retiring and moving back to Iowa. She loved to get together with family and play euchre. Theresa was a die-hard Denver Broncos fan and a loyal Cubs fan. She also enjoyed going to Tama.
Survivors include brothers, Thomas (Jutta), Robert (Mary), Lawrence (Joanne) and Donald (Betty); sister, Judy (Don) McCloud; sister-in-law, Pam Schmidt; and brothers-in-law, Ken Hall and Don Hawker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Francis; and three sisters, Betty, Kathryn and Rita.
Brosh Funeral Service, Norway is in charge of arrangements.
