Carl R. Zearley, 84, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
Survivors include daughters, Diane Fossum of Cedar Rapids, Debra (Brian) Reistroffer of Cedar Rapids and Denise (Joe) Hoffpauir of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Jaime, Jeremy, Cody and Jonathan; five great-grandchildren; brother, Lewis (Cindy) Zearley; and many nephews and nieces.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, James and Selma Zearley; brother, James Zearley; and sister, Verla Wessel.
Carl Zearley was born March 10, 1934, in Garber, Iowa, to James and Selma Zearley. He graduated from Wilson High School. Carl worked for Farmstead/Wilson's Foods for 27 years as an engineer. He was a member of Local 3. Carl enjoyed outdoor sports, farming and geneology.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
