Carl Junior Jungjohann, 94, of Cedar Rapids passed away Thursday, January 29th, 2026, at UnityPoint St. L
uke’s Transitional Care Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 5th, 2026, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Carl was born January 16th, 1932, to Carl and Florence (Garrison) Jungjohann in Cedar Rapids. After graduating from Roosevelt High School, h
e proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the USS Frank Evans. He married the love of his life Marjeanne Nosek, on August 4th, 1956, in
Cedar Rapids.
Carl gave over 40 years of service to Iowa Manufacturing. He was a member of New Covenant Bible Church and knew the Lord as his personal savior.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Marjeanne; daughter, Lori (Jeffrey); grandchildren, Leanne (Tyrel), and Jonathan (Raminta); great grandchildren, Tel, Beckett, Livia, and Elaina; sister, Donna; along with many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the outstanding staff at UnityPoint St. Luke’s Transitional Care Center for the care provided to Carl and his family at the end of his life.
