Campbell, Brandon Steele
Brandon Steele Campbell, 16, of Mesa, Ariz., passed away Jan. 2, 2012. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 14, at 11:30 a.m. at The Church of the Master, 6659 East University Dr., Mesa.
Brandon, born Feb. 2, 1995, was an intelligent and thoughtful person. He attended Red Mountain High School and loved being involved in the Academic Decathlon Team, Speech and Debate Club and German Studies. In recent years had enjoyed being a volunteer at the Arizona Science Center and the Commemorative Air Force Museum.
He had a passion for scuba diving and went on many memorable scuba trips with family and friends. He also enjoyed deep sea fishing, snow skiing and jet skiing.
He will be deeply missed by his parents, Steele and Sherie (Martin) Campbell, and older sister, Alyssa Campbell, all of Mesa.
Other survivors include grandparents, Les and Norma Campbell of Ames, Iowa; an aunt, Jo Anne Carrithers of Mesa; an uncle, Denny Martin of Davenport, Iowa; an uncle, Mark (Debra) Campbell of Ames; an aunt, Leslie (Todd) Hanson of Ashville, N.C.; an aunt, Anne Campbell of Arlington, Va.; and many cousins, friends and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Brandon S. Campbell Memorial (account no. 4570 0070 8599) at any Bank of America branch. Donations will be used to sponsor local students in academic and scholastic programs.
