Camille Anne Seaman passed away at home on April 11, 2023.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services outside her immediate family are planned at this time.
Camille was born to Evelyn (Weaver) and John Grimaldi on July 10, 1953, in Pisa, Italy. She spent her childhood in a variety of locations around the world as her father was in the Foreign Service. She completed school in Madrid, Spain, and received an M.F.A. from the University of Iowa in 1995.
Camille married Walter Seaman on Aug. 13, 1977, in Melbourne, Fla. The couple had two sons, Jared and Eben, and moved to Iowa City in 1983.
Camille received an M.F.A. from the University of Iowa in film and video production in 1995. She worked teaching in the Communication Studies Program at the University of Iowa and in the Film Production and Media Studies Program at Pennsylvania State University for a number of years.
Camille is survived by her husband, Walter; her sons, Jared Seaman and Eben Seaman; her daughter-in-law, Katie Vail Seaman; and her grandsons, Ian Lee Seaman and Leo Hendrix Seaman.
Camille was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Kris, Maria and Michelle Grimaldi; and her brother, Joseph Grimaldi.
