Cameron, Duane J.
Duane J. Cameron, 80, of Council Bluffs, passed away in Glenwood, Iowa at the Hospice with Heart House on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011. Private family interment will be at a later date.
Duane was born April 21, 1931, near Center Point, Iowa, to Clarence and Laura (McAtee) Cameron. Duane served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and later at Campbell Soup as a mechanic for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Penny; brother, Delmar; granddaughter, Rebecca; and son-in-law, Phil Crawford.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Jean; son, Jay Cameron and wife Brenda, and daughters, Linda Hurst, Laura Cameron, Phyllis Cameron, all of Council Bluffs, and Lee Turley and husband Bruce of Des Moines; stepdaughter, Brenda Jean Pritt of Chester, Va.; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Doug Cameron and wife Pam of Marion, Iowa; and sister, Marlys Raddatz and husband Dean of Troy Mills, Iowa.
Memorials are preferred to Hospice with Heart House in Glenwood, Iowa.
