Cale Thomas Lenton, 30, loving son, brother and friend, ended his life on Monday, May 23, 2022.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 29, 2022, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Stephen Witt officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to CommUnity Crisis Services c/o Suicide Prevention Program.

Cale was born Aug. 9, 1991, in Iowa City, the son of Bob and Tami (Bertelli) Lenton. He was a 2009 graduate of West Branch High School where he played basketball, football and baseball. Cale was a gifted carpenter and loved creating artwork and new crafts in his studio.

Cale loved to travel and recently enjoyed a trip out west. He enjoyed softball, golf, and especially loved wiffle ball in the front yard with his brothers.

He was a caring, sensitive man who dearly loved his family and friends.

Cale is survived by his parents, Bob and Tami; Cale's brothers, Evan (Haley Peden) of West Branch, Lee of Iowa City and Collin (Sabrena) of Cedar Rapids; niece and nephew, Lucas Lenton and Malia Lenton of West Branch; his grandmother, Karen Tucker of Iowa City; aunts and uncles, Sue (Rick) Lenton, Laura (Paul) Christensen, Jim (Sue) Lenton, Terry (Rhonda) Lenton, Kelly Bertelli, Troy (Shelly) Bertelli, Trevor (Teresa) Bertelli and Tory (Angie) Bertelli; and numerous cousins and friends.

Cale was preceded by his grandfathers, Jim Tucker and Rex Lenton; grandmother and step-grandfather, Kitty (Bob) Drager; his uncle, Rick Lenton; and cousin, Braden Bertelli.
