Cale Christopher Dietrich, 41, of Campbellsport, Wis., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2019.
He was born Aug. 25, 1977, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Larry and Shirlee Dietrich (Tschiggfrie) and graduated from Prairie High School in 1995. Cale was employed at Centro Inc. for 24 years. He worked in North Liberty, Claremont, N.C., and most recently in Horicon & Beaver Dam, Wis., as operations manager of both sites.
On Aug. 8, 2006, he was united in marriage to LeAnne Panten in Gatlinburg, Tenn. Cale was a much loved and devoted husband, son and brother. He could always brighten up a room with his smile and sarcasm. He enjoyed hunting with his brothers-in-law, cutting and splitting wood, golfing, and helping anybody who needed it anytime.
Cale is survived by his wife, LeAnne; father, Larry (Kay) Dietrich of Van Horne; mother, Shirlee (Mike) Tschiggfrie of Mount Vernon; brother, Dake (Lyna) Dietrich of Fairfax; sister, Amy (Chris) Jensen of Blair, Neb.; sister, Miranda; stepsister, Kelly (Bret) Burkhart of Radcliffe; stepbrother, Rick (Lynn) Tschiggfrie of Grove City, Ohio; stepsister, Angela (Jason) Lincoln of Marion; stepsister, Jeannie McNeal of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his stepbrothers, Mike and John Tschiggfrie; stepsister, Valerie Schadle; his paternal grandparents, Donovan and Lenora Dietrich; and his maternal grandparents, Stan Johnson and Marge Anderson.
There will be no funeral services to respect the wishes of the deceased. A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Swisher American Legion Post 671, 68 Third St. SE, Swisher, IA 52338. In lieu of flowers or contributions, please keep his family in your prayers.
