Cady, Clifford C.
Clifford C. Cady, 82, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at Manor Care, Cedar Rapids. A private graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; children, LeAnna See of Centerville, Vickie (Jim) Klenk of Viola and James (Kathy) Jarvis of Center Point; and siblings, Stanley Cady of Mississippi, Rosetta Andrews of Cedar Rapids, Charlotte (John) Lundhome of Minnesota and Leona Shockman of Washington.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Candy in 2011; grandchild, Patrick; sons-in-law, Dennis See and Rick Phipps; three brothers; and two sisters.
Clifford Clark Cady was born Nov. 3, 1930, in Quasqueton, Iowa, the son of Charles and Ella (Butterfield) Cady. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Navy. On Dec. 11, 1964, he married Mary Gideon in Galena, Ill. Cliff worked for FMC Manufacturing for many years until his retirement. He was a longtime musician and especially enjoyed playing the guitar. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
