Byron L. Polsean, 59, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at his home. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, from 10 to 11 a.m., with a memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A private burial will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Byron L. Polsean was born May 18, 1957, to Tilden and Bernice Oertel Polsean in Dubuque, Iowa. Byron graduated from Hempstead High School in Dubuque in 1975. He attended Kirkwood Community College and specialized in industrial electronics. He received his associate of electronic technology degree in 1992 and later his master electrician's license in Iowa City in 1996.
He will be missed very much by all family members and friends.
He married Sindy Carson on June 1, 1991, at Mount Olivet Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids. They divorced, but remained friends. He was the father of one daughter, Lydia Polsean. Byron also was an avid private pilot and professional electrician.
His hobbies included traveling, bicycling, hiking and electronic designs. He would chase the storms when the weather was bad.
He is survived by his daughter, Lydia Polsean of Cedar Rapids; siblings, Wayne (Mary) Polsean of Dubuque, Marc (Donna) Polsean of Viroqua, Wis., and Karen (Ken) Morrow of West Virginia; many loving nieces and nephews; and a very good friend, Ray.
Byron was preceded in death by his parents.
