Butz, Anne Estelle
Anne Estelle Butz, 68, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at Winslow House Care Center, Marion. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids. Deacon John Malone will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the chapel.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene of Robins; children, Eric Jon Butz of Clifton, Colo., Darla (Ryan) Wenndt of Keystone and Kimberly Drury of Shellsburg; six grandchildren; and a sister, Catherine Weldon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Zola Weldon.
Anne was born July 31, 1941, in Marengo, Iowa, the daughter of Patrick and Zola (Stratton) Weldon. She married Eugene Butz on May 17, 1960, in Walker. Anne was employed with Square D of Cedar Rapids for 27 years. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
The Butz family would like to express a special thank you to St. Luke's Hospice, Dr. Bell, and to the Winslow House Care Center for the care they gave to Anne.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
