Burrows, Gladys J.
Gladys J. Burrows, 87, life-long resident of Marion, passed away in her home on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, with burial to follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Gladys is survived by daughter, Janet Burrows; two granddaughters, Lori Ampey and Lisa (Brad) Schumacher; three great-grandchildren, Kyle Ampey and Joe and Hayli Schumacher; and one great-great-grandchild, Anthony Ampey (Tina Barton).
Gladys is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Burrows; parents; two2 brothers, John and Bob Hyde; and one sister, Alice Pieper.
Gladys cherished the time with her family and friends. She was secretary of Marion High School and worked at the Marion Sentinel with boss and longtime friend, Bob Lana (Leona).
A special thanks to her two wonderful neighbors and mail carrier.
Services are under the direction of Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
