Burroughs Jr., Jerry Lee

Jerry Lee Burroughs Jr., 41, of Marion, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012. Memorial services: 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Marion. The family will greet friends from noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home. Private inurnment: Shiloh Cemetery, Hiawatha, at a later date.

Survivors include his parents, Jerry Sr. and Barb Burroughs of Marion; three children, Kelci of Davenport, and Austin and Tristin, both of Marion; grandmother, Helen Endbery of South Dakota; sister, Misty (Aaron) VanMilligan of Marion; brother, Jason “Buck” (Rikka) Burroughs of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eleanor Engbretson; grandfathers, Ray Mattson and Ray (Wilma) Burroughs; and uncle, Robert Mattson.

Jerry was born Dec. 6, 1970, in Cedar Rapids, and graduated from Linn-Mar High School in 1989. Jerry enjoyed golf, bowling, and spending time with his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jerry memory.
