Burns, Tillie Andrle
Tillie Andrle Burns, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at Hiawatha Care Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW, with the Rev. David Renfro presiding. Burial will be in Rogers Grove Cemetery, near Ely. Visitation will be one hour before services.
Tillie was born June 5, 1921, on the family farm near Ely, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Setlik) Zach. Tillie married Edwin Andrle on June 12, 1940, he later died on Aug. 18, 1967. She married Keith Burns in October 1973, he later died in 2001. Tillie was a hardworking farm wife most of her life. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, playing cards and most of all the time spent with her loving family.
Tillie is survived by her children Pat (Cletus) Clark of Maquoketa and Ron (Vonnie) Andrle of Fairfax; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Tillie was preceded in death by her husbands, Edwin and Keith; a son, Donald Andrle; a granddaughter, Teresa Clark; her brothers, Frank and Adolph Zach; and a sister, Anna Candler.
