Burlingame, Fern E.
Fern E. Burlingame, 100, longtime Green Bay, Wis., resident, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012. Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, 4200 First Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids, with a funeral service at 3 p.m. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation and service was held Jan. 28 at Blaney Funeral Home in Green Bay, with Commissioned Lay Pastor Max Ballard officiating.
Fern was born Nov. 26, 1911, in Waubeek, Iowa, to John F. and Jessie (Swaim) Jellison. On Sept. 5, 1946, she married Anson D. Burlingame. He preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1980.
Survivors include a beloved sister, Violet Larkin, with whom she made her home, and a cherished niece and nephew, Sharon and Larry Zambrowicz, and their family, all of Green Bay; and a foster niece, Carol Ricklefs and her family of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepparents; an infant sister; a brother-in-law, Roy Larkin; and a foster nephew, Gayland Ricklefs.
