Burkhart, Margaret M.
Margaret M. Burkhart, 93, of Clinton, formerly of Iowa City, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at Prairie Hills. Graveside committal services will be at a later date in Guttenburg, Iowa.
Memorials may be to the charity of your choice.

Margaret was born Dec. 30, 1916, in Reinbeck, Iowa, the daughter of Leroy and Faye McInnes Moser. She was a graduate of Reinbeck High School and had attended the University of Iowa. Margaret married Bob R. Burkhart on May 27, 1939, in Reinbeck. Bob died in 1991.
Margaret was secretary to the director of Library Administration at the University of Iowa for many years. Before moving to Iowa City in 1965, they had resided in Guttenburg, Cedar Falls and Clinton; Ithaca, N.Y.; Norfolk, Va.; and Minneapolis, Minn.
She was a 50 year member of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her grandsons, Todd (Robin) Burkhart and Curtis (Jamie) Burkhart, all of Clinton; two great-grandsons, Ian and Brandon; sister-in-law, Rosalyn Moser of Reinbeck; and former daughter-in-law, Sarah Rardin of Montana.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Sidney Hugh Burkhart; her sister, Edna; and brother, Leroy.
