Burke, Lenora R. (Coleman)

Lenora R. (Coleman) Burke, 79, of Hiawatha, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Hiawatha. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, and one hour before the service at the church. Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Walker.

Survivors include her children, Mike Burke of Hiawatha, Dan (Julie) Burke of Cedar Rapids, Kathy (Ron) Milota of Marion and Colleen (John) Godar of Marion; three grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Hennessy, Heidi Milota and Logan Godar; siblings, Louis (Lois) Coleman of Coggon and Regina (Vern) Fischbach of Minnesota; and two special nieces, Joleen and Karen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; and sister, Mary Zieser.

Lenora was born June 3, 1934, in Coggon, the daughter of Joseph and Opal (Kehrli) Coleman. She graduated from Coggon High School in 1952. In April 1955, she was united in marriage to Richard L. Burke. He passed away in 1997. She worked for Sun Mart/Econofoods for 32 years.
