Burds, Patricia A.
Patricia A. Burds, 63, of 3032 Pennsylvania Ave., Dubuque, Iowa, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, from complications of surgery. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Dubuque. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Centralia, Iowa. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 2659 Kennedy Rd., Dubuque, where there will be a parish wake service at 7:30 p.m.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Burds of Dubuque; two children, Stephen (Colin) Burds of Ankeny, Iowa and Kevin Burds of Utila, Honduras; three grandchildren, Annika, Maya and Calleigh; seven siblings, Tom (Jan) McAleer of Denver, Colo., Joe (Shelly) McAleer of Tustin, Calif., Steve (Marlene) McAleer of Monticello, Iowa, Dan (Sally) McAleer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Janice Curoe and Mary Jo Roller, both of Dubuque, and Kathy (Dan) Reyner of Delhi, Iowa; in-laws, Bob Curoe of Bernard, Iowa, Jack Burds of New Mexico, Joan (Phil) Weber of Dubuque, Colleen Bertinetti of Arizona and Will (Kathy) Burds of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joyce Curoe; and a brother-in-law, John Curoe.
A Patricia Burds Memorial Fund has been established.
