Buck, William F.
William F. Buck, 70, of Wyoming, Iowa, died Friday, March 26, 2010, at Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 31, at 10:30 a.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming, with Shepherd Karmen Jamison and Pastor Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
William Fredrick Buck was born Oct. 28, 1939, in Baldwin, Iowa, to Henry and Mary (Voeppell) Buck. He graduated from Wyoming High School in 1958. He married Mary Ellison on July 23, 1971, at the Methodist Church in Wyoming, Iowa. He farmed in Wyoming for over 50 years.
He was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church, Wyoming Fair Board, Jones County Historical Society, and Wyoming Betterment Committee.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Buck of Wyoming; four children, Dennis (Susan) Lowe of Benton, Mo., Teresa Shoaff of Anamosa, Willy (Angie) Buck of Marion and Larry (Becky) Buck of Wyoming; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren;
and one brother, Don Buck of Baldwin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Brian; a brother, Larry; a sister-in-law, Sharon; and a niece, Wendy.
