Buchenau, Darlene R. 'Dee'
Darlene R. “Dee” Buchenau, 87, of the West Ridge Care Center, died there Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, after a short illness. Graveside services at 10 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Jon Nack and Pastor Martin Eden will officiate. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Monday.Survivors include three grandchildren, Jovita (Jon) Nack of Lakefield, Minn., Malinda (Martin) Eden of Quincy, Ill., and Shawna (John) Dayton of Conroy; six great-grandchildren, Corey and Hannah Nack, Annalisa and Julianna Eden and Gable and Alexis Dayton; and a son-in-law, Earl (Carol) Glandorf of Homestead.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter, Linda L. (Maack) Glandorf.Dee was born on Nov. 23, 1922, in Ryan, the daughter of Henry and Marie Warner Hawker Jr. She married Theodore F. Buchenau. He died in 2003. Dee worked at Cryovac and retired from there after many years of service.She enjoyed watching all sports, working crossword puzzles, knitting, sewing and especially the time spent with her beloved family.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Lutheran Interparish School in Williamsburg.“The family would like to thank the staffs at Mercy Medical Center and West Ridge Care Center for the wonderful care given to Dee.”Please leave a message or tribute to Dee's family on the Web page under Obituaries.
