Betty was born May 20, 1926, in Lovilla, Iowa, to the late Floyd and Nellie Davis. After graduating from Lovilla High School, she moved to Des Moines where she met Andy Bubon. She and Andy were married on Sept. 17, 1946, and enjoyed 54 years of marriage. They began their lives together in Olin, Iowa, where they resided until 1957. They moved to Cedar Rapids (Shueyville) where her husband continued his teaching and coaching career in the College Community school district. She was a loving mother and spent the majority of her time caring for her family.
Betty was kind and generous to all. She had many friends whom she looked forward to having coffee with each day through the years. Betty also enjoyed baking and tending to her flower gardens. Becoming a grandmother gave her the greatest joy later in life. Those who knew her will miss her great smile.
In addition, Betty had a loving extended family at Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg for which her family is so grateful.
A memorial fund has been established in Betty's honor.
