Bryant, Raymone W.
Raymone W. Bryant, 14, of Coralville, died at his home early Sunday morning, Sept. 4, 2011, as a result of a house fire. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Parkview Evangelical Free Church in Iowa City. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church.
Raymone Walter Bryant was born Oct. 19, 1996, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Richard and Susie Bryant. He had attended Iowa City Community Schools, Mark Twain Elementary, Northwest Junior High, and had just started his freshman year at West High School. While at Northwest Junior High, he ran track. He loved any and all sports, especially football, basketball and track. He loved camping and fishing, hanging out with his cousins, and loved just being a kid! This year Raymone had helped in the reconstruction of L&J BBQ House in Iowa City, where he also worked.
His family includes his parents, Richard Bryant and Susie Bryant and her husband, Ciro; brothers, Richard Jr. and Rodney; half sister, April Denise; his grandmother, Fannie Carr; 14 aunts; three uncles; a host of cousins; two very special friends, Doug Fern and Paul Donaldson; and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Bryant Sr. and Georgia Bryant.
Raymone's special verse he had chosen: “I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith.” II Timothy 4-7
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Raymone's memory.
