Bryant, Lydelle K.
Lydelle K. Bryant, 74, of 5008 Linkside Dr., Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010, following a short illness. Visitation, without the body present, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Keystone. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, with Father Mark Osterhaus officiating.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy “KB” and David Sisco of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister, Jean “Peggy” Maher of Las Vegas, Nev.; a stepgrandson, Shaun Sisco of Cedar Rapids; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Kirsten and Isaac Sisco of Urbandale; as well as her two special granddogs, Zeke and Jackpot of Las Vegas, Nev.
Lydelle was born May 29, 1935, in Van Horne, the daughter of Edwin and Regina Maher. She graduated from Van Horne Consolidated School in 1953. On August 30, 1954, she married Donald Bryant at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Lydelle taught preschool at Jane Boyd Community House for 17 years. After retirement, she volunteered at Bethany Lutheran Preschool for eight years. The children gave her so much.
Lydelle was preceded in death by her parents and two infant children, Mary and Anthony.
