EVELYN BRUMMER

Evelyn Brummer, 95, a resident of Heritage Nursing and Rehab, died there Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014,
after a long illness. Private family services will be at a later date. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Akers and Sheila Moses, both of Cedar Rapids; and a son, Rodney of East Dubuque, Ill. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Darlene and Gloria; and eight brothers and sisters.
Evelyn was born May 8, 1918, in Caledonia, Minn., the daughter of John and Mary Davy Tessin. She married Rhinehart Brummer on Feb. 9, 1936, in Caledonia, Minn. Rhinehart passed away in 1983.
Evelyn was a homemaker and enjoyed gambling, playing bingo, dancing to polka music and the time she spent with her beloved family.
