Brown, Susan Kay
Susan Kay Brown, 61, of Evansdale, died of pancreatic cancer Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at Windmill Manor in Coralville. Arrangements are being handled by Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service.
Susan was born Jan. 11, 1948, the daughter of Robert and Maxine (Delsing) Brown. She was a graduate of Iowa City High and lived in the Waterloo area for the past several years. Most recently she provided elder care services in the Waterloo area.
Survivors include her sister, Cris (Kirk) Villhauer of Shueyville; brothers, Tom (Corlee) of Warrenton, Va., Marc (Marilyn) of Solon, Paul (Jane) of North Liberty and Keith of Tucson, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry; and her parents.
No visitation is planned and a private family burial will be Monday, Oct. 5.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Iowa City Hospice.
The family wishes to thank Windmill Manor for the great care they provided for Susan the past three months and to Iowa City Hospice for their care and compassion in Susan's final days.
