Brockshus, Vera Arlene
Vera Arlene Brockshus, 88, of Williamsburg, died Thursday, June 23, 2011, at her home with her daughters by her side. Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 27, at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Williamsburg. Pastor Richard Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg.
She is survived by four daughters, Marilyn Curry-Dolder and husband Harry of Oxford, Barbara Fiser of Hiawatha, Doris Sawyer and husband Stephen of LaPlata, Mo., and Carol Kempf and husband Dennis of Williamsburg; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Schwarting of Williamsburg and Faye Roberts of Cedar Rapids; and a brother, Bob Leahy of Cedar Rapids.
Memorials are for Lutheran Interparish School in Williamsburg or Iowa City Hospice.
