Brockschink, William F.
William F. Brockschink, 73, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Norway, with the Rev. Craig Steimel and the Rev. Brian Dellaert officiating. Burial: Lenox Cemetery, Norway, with military rites. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Michael's Parish Center.
Bill was born April 6, 1939, in Norway, to Victor and Elsie Schulte Brockschink. On July 13, 1963, he was married to Bonnie Brosh.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Bonnie; children, Mary Brockschink and Bill (Jill) Brockschink Jr., both of Marion, and Jane (Brett) Sagers of Eden Prairie, Minn., and granddaughters, Kate and Ashley Brockschink and Megan and Morgan Sagers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Victor Brockschink Jr.
Bill was the proud owner of Brockschink and Son Service Station and Brockschink Oil Co. He was part of the Brosh Funeral Service for many years. Bill was a member of the Norway American Legion and a lifelong member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Bill was a caring and compassionate man and never knew a stranger. He touched many lives. He dearly loved his family, friends and his town of Norway. He will be missed.
