Brincks, Edwin B.
Edwin B. Brincks, 89, of New Hampton, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at New Hampton Nursing and Rehab Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Center, with Father Mark Osterhaus celebrating the mass. Burial will at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a 4 p.m. scriptural wake service and a 5 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary, at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in New Hampton. Visitation will continue at the funeral home one hour before the funeral mass on Thursday.
Edwin is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Elizabeth; his children, Linda (Tom) Sauer of Troy Mills, Robert (Betty) Brincks and Ron Brincks, both of New Hampton, Karen (Tom) Oberg of Moline, Ill., Dewey (Mary) Brincks of Lawler, Jerry (Julie) Brincks of Melcher and Donna (Richard) Houser of New Hampton; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Huinker of Decorah and Rita (LaVerne) Bushman, and one brother, Richard (Evelyn) Brincks, both of Ossian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Susie Brincks; four brothers, Bill, Alphonse, Cletus and Gregory in infancy; three sisters, Agnes Langreck, Lorraine Weiglein and Matilda Hackman; and one granddaughter, Kelli Sauer.
