Bright, Robb
Robb Bright, 52, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 8, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St. in Vinton, with the Rev. Steve Benton officiating. Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Vinton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday. The casket will remain closed at all times.
He is survived by his daughters, Heather (C.J.) DeMeulenaere and Holly Bright, both of Cedar Rapids; his father, Jim Bright of Vinton; and his brother, Lon (Stephanie) Bright, and their children, Lexi and Ellie, all of Anamosa.
Robb was preceded in death by his mother, Julia.
Robb was born Nov. 21, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, to Jim and Julia (Schoonover) Bright, and graduated from Kennedy High School there in 1976 and from the University of Northern Iowa in 1983. Robb was employed as an auto claims insurance adjuster.
In his leisure he enjoyed playing poker, pool, and golfing.
A memorial fund has been established.
