Bridgewater, Steve
Steve Bridgewater, 60, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at Manor Care in Cedar Rapids, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Salem United Methodist Church in Van Horne, with the Rev. Rose Marie Calderon-Kahn officiating. Private committal services will be held. Friends may register at the church from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday.
A memorial fund has been established.
Steve was born March 19, 1953, at Maryville, Mo., to Ralph E. and Macy Ann (Hall) Bridgewater. He was a member of Phi Mu Alpha. Steve was a self-employed truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Karla of Van Horne; his son, James Bridgewater of Boone; his daughters, Alexandria White of Blairstown and Deziray Bridgewater of Van Horne; his mother, Macy Ann Bridgewater of Des Moines; his granddaughters, Harmony, Destany, Madisen, Skylar and Abigail; his brother, Robert (Cathy) Bridgewater of Blairstown; and his sister, Linda (John) Dvorak of Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph on Aug. 5, 2011.
Phillips Funeral Home in Blairstown is in charge of arrangements and condolences may be left at .
