Brian Curtis Scott, 64, of Kimberling City, Mo., formerly of Central City, Iowa, passed away Jan. 1 2015, from complication of cancer. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Survivors include his wife, Denise of Kimberling City, Mo., sons, Eric of Littleton, Colo., and Chad (Heather) of Collegecile, Pa.; two granddaughters, Nicole and Courtney; mother, Margaret Scott; brother, Kenver (Diane) Scott; and sister-in-law, Denise Scott.
Brain was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Scott; brother, Kelly Scott; father-in-law, Dean Sterner; and brother-in-law, David Sterner.
Brian was born March 23, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Lyle E. and Margaret S. (Enabnit) Scott. Brian married Denise Sterner on Jan. 30, 1970, at Jordan's Grove Baptist Church in Centeral City. Brian was a professional firefighter for the Cedar Rapids Fire Department for 15 years.
