Brian Neal Pahl, 50, of Cresson, Texas, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died of a sudden heart condition on Friday, July 1, 2016, in Granbury, Texas. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m. before the service at the chapel.
Brian was born March 15, 1966, in Decorah, Iowa, to Roger and Mary (Fish) Pahl. After graduating from high school, Brian was employed at PMX Industries in Cedar Rapids for over 15 years. He had been a resident of Texas for the last three years.
Brian was a former member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching NASCAR races and Barrett-Jackson auctions on TV and anything barbecue. He loved being around people and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was a proud family man and will be dearly missed.
Brian is survived by his children, Annie Pahl of Cedar Rapids and Steve Pahl of Hiawatha; mother, Mary Pahl of Cedar Rapids; brother, Larry (Faithie) Pahl of Cedar Rapids; fiancee, Theresa Gardner of Cresson, Texas; as well as two nieces; one nephew; two great-nieces; and two great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father in 2013; granddaughter, Angel; and sister, Karla Pahl.
A memorial in Brian's name has been established.
