Brian Hennessey, 58, passed away at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, on Sunday, Dec.
20, 2015.
Brian was born Dec. 12, 1957, in Lamont, Iowa. He was the son of John "Jack" and JoLynn Hennessey. Brian attended school in Lamont and Marion. His last job was at Budget Rental. Brian married Christie Hoffman and had a daughter, Jessica. He then married Sandra and had two stepchildren, Paulette and Kyle.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Joe) Hovendick; and grandson, Javin; mother, JoLynn; brother, Kurt (Julie) Hennessey; niece, Treesa Hennessey (Cody Silver) and their children, Jack and Wyatt; nephew, Tony Hennessey (Marcy) and their children, Dylan and Bennett; and nephews, CJ and Tyler Johnson. He leaves behind numerous relatives and friends.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Jack; sister, Lisa; and nephew, Spencer.
Brian loved country music, especially Willie Nelson, hunting, fishing and spending time with his countless friends. He loved a good time and will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the American Legion in Marion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
