Brenda Marie (Harris) Green, 58, died Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at UIHC of injuries incurred from a fall.
To celebrate Brenda’s life the family will greet friends from 11 AM to 2 PM, Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Lensing Oak Hill Funeral Service, 210 Holiday Road, Coralville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Brenda Green Memorial Fund c/o Green State, 585 W Penn St, North Liberty 52317
Brenda was born August 26, 1966 in Iowa City, the daughter of David and Pat (Kennedy) Harris. Brenda lived most of her life in Iowa City and was a 1985 graduate of Iowa City High School.
Brenda married Mark Green in October of 1993. They lived in Cascade, Mark’s hometown, and then returned to make North Liberty their home.
Brenda’s beautiful blue eyes and infectious smile lit up the world. She was loved by all and a friend to many.
Brenda and Mark enjoyed boating and camping with friends. She was the life of the party, loved to dance and spend time with her cats. Brenda did not have children, but she was the mother to those that adopted her. She was their fun and crazy Auntie.
Brenda worked at the Fareway and The Station, both in North Liberty.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Mark of North Liberty; her parents, Dave and Pat Harris of Oxford; her sister, Darcy Harris of Oxford; niece and nephew, Brittany Martinson and Tanner (Delayni) Martinson; great-nieces and -nephews, Kairee, Waylen, Karson, and Kinzley.
She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Rosie and LJ Green of Cascade; brothers-in-law, Tom and Mike; grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.
