Brenda Lee Hawkins Houser, 53, of Iowa City, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016.
Brenda was born and raised in Johnson County, Iowa, to Roy and Nancy Hawkins. She was an Iowa girl, through and through. Brenda loved fiercely. She would do anything for those she loved.
She is survived by her husband, Rick; her sisters, Lisa (Russ) Hogan and Teresa (Harlan) Scharf; her adoptive mom, Sharron Hart; and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal; her father, Roy; and her mother, Nancy.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. Visitation will be one hour before the service and following the service.
