Brenda Gay (Henderson) Weber died Friday, Jan. 23, 2026. She was born on July 30, 1940, to Enoch and Ruby (Malone) Henderson in Troy, Tennessee. She was raised by her grandparents, Bert and Kate Malone, in Ridgely, Tennessee, where she also graduated from high school.

Brenda attended the Memphis School of Commerce and began her career working for W.W. Grainger in Chicago, Illinois. In 1960, she married Simon P.J. “Jerry” Weber at Barber’s Point Navy Base in Hawaii. Together, they raised four children.

After her children reached school age, Brenda earned her CNA certification and worked in nursing homes. As the family relocated over the years, she managed a hardware store in New Albin, Iowa, worked for Bass Pro Shops in Springfield, Missouri, and later returned to healthcare as a CNA in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. There, she also earned her OMT certification and eventually retired from Higley Mansion Assisted Living Facility.

Brenda later retired to Keosauqua, Iowa, where she remained active in the local Historical Society and took great pride in the care and maintenance of her home and yard.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her parents; her oldest daughter, Anita; her brothers, Stanley and Timothy Warren; her granddaughter, Colleen Boardman; and her grandson, Finn Weber.

Brenda is survived by her brother, Robert (Faye) Warren of McKenzie, Tennessee; her sister, Sherry Ragghianti of Woodstock, Georgia; her daughter, Janet Boardman of Desoto, Wisconsin; her sons, Michael (Anna) Weber of Rockford, Minnesota, and David (Libby) Weber of Columbia, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
