Brandon Henry Ahrendsen, 32, of Anamosa, died on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Jones Regional Medical Center due to medical complications. A celebration of Brandon's life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Anamosa Bow Hunters Club starting at 2 p.m. Entrusted with the arrangements is Iowa Cremation.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Bryon Ahrendsen and Deb Schirm, both of Anamosa, Iowa; grandfather, Harold Ahrendsen of Hale, Iowa; aunts and uncles, Bob and Renee Ahrendsen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dave and MaryAnn Schirm of Richardson, Texas, Marcia and Ervin Oltmanns of Marion, Iowa, Mark and Sue Schirm of Arizona, Dan and Kay Schirm of Mount Vernon, Iowa, Denise and Mick Sidway of Monticello, Iowa, Tim and Cindy Holmes of Olin, Iowa, and Eric and Heidi Ahrendsen of Marion, Iowa; his special cousins, Dakota, Dalton and Kenner Ahrendsen; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donna and Kenny Hansen and Leona and Eldo Schirm; a step-grandma, Shirley Ahrendsen; and an uncle, Jeff Ahrendsen.
Brandon was born on Dec. 22, 1985, in Anamosa, Iowa, to Byron Ahrendsen and Deb Schirm. He graduated from Washington High School in 2005. For the past 10 years he worked for Advancement Services in Monticello. He enjoyed watching WWE and attending racing events with his family and friends. Brandon loved going to the Anamosa Bow Hunters Club with his father. He was a cherished son, grandson, relative and friend to many and will be dearly missed.
