Brandon, David P.
David P. Brandon, 54, of Marion, passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his siblings, Linda (Buss) Bixby of Marion, Rick (Darla) Brandon of Marengo, Susan (Mike) Diedrick and Lori Wolfe, both of Marion; and many nieces and nephews who adored him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
David was born July 11, 1957, the son of Clair and Berta (Denbow) Brandon in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A 1975 graduate from Jefferson High School, he worked as a telemarketer and most recently in the warehouse for Nordstrom. David enjoyed prolific writing, Frisbee golf and loved movies.
